Mount Batur is 1,717 meters high above sea level (the third highest peak in Bali) and considered as one of the sacred mountain according to Hindu belief. It is a semi active volcano located in Kintamani district of Bangli regency. The Kintamani area was once dominated by a massive volcano which created the 3-kilometer-wide caldera now occupied by Lake Batur and the active volcano Mount Batur.
Unique cultural elements linked to the location have supported the Batur nomination : Lake Batur, the central water source for the irrigation of thousands of hectares of Bali’s lush rice terraces is managed in the local Subak irrigation communal landscape, that has thrived for centuries and is unique to Bali’s culture and religion. The Balinese Subak Landscape, has also just recently been recognized as one of UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage.

A memorable day in Ubud and Mount Kintamani
Yogi cam recommended by my sister when she was in Bali so I was expecting to be in good hands but he exceeded our expectations in terms of courtesy, knowledge and sincere effort to make us take in every sight and sound of Bali. I was truly amazed by how much he knew. For the 8 hours or so we spent with him he constantly educated us on the culture, people and history of Bali.
Exciting Bali experience
Yogi’s knowledge and experience ensured an exciting journey exploring all that Bali had to offer. His willingness to adapt and modify the plan while at the same time listening to our changing needs makes him a reliable and dependable guide. We have no hesitation in recommending his services to prospective Bali visitors.
Wonderful trips in Bali with our guide YOGI
We had a wonderful holiday in Bali on the Nusa Dua beach. The beach was great, but the real highlights were the day trips we had with our guide YOGI. YOGI was very friendly and highly professional. He picked us up every day punctually on time, listened to our wishes and provided most insightful suggestions and proposals. We basically planned our trips together! He was extremely knowledgeable about local culture, art, the Bali geographic situation and the stunning landscapes and the Balinese people. With his guide, the places we visited became ever more interesting and memorable, e.g. the highland lake temple Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, the very beautiful Bali Botanic Garden, the holy water Tirta Empul Temple, the Taman Ayun Temple with its most beautiful pagodas, the volcano and mountain lakes, and of course the Ubdu area… I plan to have another holiday in Bali in the near future, and would certainly have YOGI again as our tour guide. BTW, YOGI is not only a knowledgeable guide, but also an excellent driver. It was a joy simply sitting in his car! Thank you YOGI!
